Richard Woodroof

After playing tennis at the University of North Carolina (BS, Economics), Richard Woodroof embarked on a successful tennis coaching career.  Based in Southern California he coached some of the top junior players in the country including 3 Gold Ball winners.  His players earned scholarships in every major Division I conference.  He also coached players on the men’s ATP World Tour and was a traveling coach on the women’s WTA Tour.  After moving to South Florida in 2003, Richard switched to off-court performance training.  He founded RAW Tennis Performance and has trained players on both professional tours including Alex Bogomolov, Jr. who was named 2011 ATP Most Improved Player while working with Richard.  Other players Richard has trained include some of the top juniors from Canada, Monte Carlo, Italy, Brazil and Russia.  Richard has worked with the National Teams of both Korea and India as well.  He is also a regular speaker on performance training having presented at over 50 coaches conventions.
